Our differences & our approach
At Seconde Patte, we have chosen an approach that differs from traditional dog daycare. Our priority is not to constantly overstimulate dogs, but to respect their physical and emotional balance through a more composed, structured organization that is tailored to their actual needs.
Each dog is welcomed as an individual in their own right, with their own pace, energy level, and sensitivities. We make sure to alternate between periods of activity, rest, and calm to limit stress, fatigue, and behaviors linked to overstimulation. This approach allows us to provide a clearer and more secure environment for the dogs.
The goal is simple: to offer a supervised and consistent environment in which each dog can thrive peacefully throughout the day, without pressure or an overload of interactions.
A tailored and structured day
Your dog's day is organized to respect their natural behavior, without overstimulation or a forced pace. Rest periods are regularly integrated to allow each dog to recover, settle down, and maintain a good emotional balance throughout the day.
Activities are offered in groups or individually, depending on each dog's preferences, profile, and comfort level. They have a secure space to exercise, explore, interact, and express their natural behaviors in optimal conditions, always under supervision and guidance.
Calmer moments are also regularly integrated to allow the dogs to lower their energy levels. Mental stimulation activities may be added throughout the day to enrich their environment and avoid routine, all while respecting their own pace.
Daycare rates and conditions
To join our dog daycare, dogs must be microchipped, vaccinated, insured, and up to date with their parasite treatments.
A social assessment of approximately 1 hour is also conducted before any first visit to ensure that the dog can thrive in our environment and to determine the best care conditions. When successful, it is included in the service. In case of incompatibility, or if no service is booked afterward, only the test is charged (€25). A new test may be requested if the team deems it necessary, even after a first experience.
For occasional bookings, a 30% deposit is required to confirm your dog's spot. For regular daycare, we operate on a monthly basis with arrangements tailored to the needs of the families and the dog. During the social assessment, payment for the first service is also required at that time. The booking is only confirmed after acceptance of the daycare's terms and conditions.
In order to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, the dogs hosted must be comfortable with humans, with other dogs, and possess good intraspecific communication skills.
However, some situations can be assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the dog's profile and the available boarding conditions. We invite you to contact us if your dog has any specific needs so we can discuss them together and evaluate the possibilities.
During daycare days, our priority is to be fully present with the dogs to ensure their safety, well-being, and constant supervision. Therefore, we do not respond to follow-up requests by phone during the day, but we regularly update our social media to share life on-site and provide a glimpse into the dogs' daily routine.
Boarders arrive between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM and depart between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM; any arrival or departure outside these hours is charged at €3 incl. tax per hour of deviation.
During holiday periods (October 17 to November 2, 2026; December 19, 2026 to January 4, 2027; February 13 to March 1, 2027; April 10 to April 26, 2027; July 3 to September 3, 2027) and public holidays, a 10% surcharge on services is applied, except for regular daycare (> 3 daycare sessions/month).
