Daycare rules
Access to the park implies full acceptance of these regulations.
1. Booking and payment
Reservations are primarily made via the website, but can also be arranged by phone or email. A booking only becomes firm after validation of the mandatory social assessment and full payment for the service. Payment can be made online at the time of booking or on-site during the social assessment. No dog will be admitted without full payment for the service.
2. Arrival and departure times
Dogs may be dropped off daily between 7:00 am and 9:30 am and picked up between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Any drop-off or pick-up outside these hours will be charged at €3 per hour or fraction thereof. No dogs will be accepted outside these specified hours without prior agreement.
3. Responsibilities and safety
Seconde Patte makes every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of dogs, thanks to trained staff, secure enclosures, and medical follow-up if necessary. Despite all precautions, animals remain unpredictable and Seconde Patte cannot be held liable in the event of incidents between dogs, running away, accidents or death, or material damage caused by dogs. It is the owner's responsibility to take out third-party liability insurance for their animal and to cover all damage caused by the latter.
4. Dog health
Dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations and deworming, and their health record and/or passport will be kept at the boarding facility for the duration of their stay. Mandatory vaccinations include canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, kennel cough, and leptospirosis. Dogs that are sick, injured, or require medical treatment are not accepted. Seconde Patte reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog whose state of health could endanger itself or other dogs. Dogs may be spayed or neutered or intact. Seconde Patte accepts no liability in the event of contamination. Dogs must also be treated against internal and external parasites before their arrival at the boarding facility. In the event of contamination by a virus, bacteria, or parasite, Seconde Patte accepts no liability.
5. Behavior
Dogs with behavioral issues may only be admitted following an assessment and specific approval during the social test. Any fights, incidents, or dangerous behavior remain the exclusive responsibility of the owner, who must assume liability for all resulting damages.
6. Base rates
The rate for a day of daycare is €30 incl. tax per dog. For an additional dog from the same household, a supplement of €24 incl. tax will be applied per dog. A supplement of €5 incl. tax per day will be charged for dogs or puppies that are not house-trained. During holiday periods (October 17 to November 2, 2026, December 19, 2026 to January 4, 2027, February 13 to March 1, 2027, April 10 to April 26, 2027, July 3 to September 3, 2027) and public holidays, a 10% surcharge on services is applied, except for regular daycare (> 3 days of daycare/month).
7. Home transport service
It is possible to pick up and drop off the dog at your home for €0.50 incl. tax per kilometer for a round trip, regardless of the number of dogs.
8. Social Test
The social assessment lasts approximately 1 hour, in the presence of the dog's owner, and aims to evaluate whether the dog can safely join the daycare. The cost of the assessment is included in the price of the first service. If the assessment is carried out but is inconclusive, only the €25 fee for the assessment is charged and the remainder of the service is refunded. The assessment must be completed at least 21 days before the start of daycare to allow for reservation cancellation in the event of failure and to obtain a refund. If an assessment has already been conducted in the past and doubt remains, members of the Seconde Patte team may request a new assessment.
9. Trial day
Once the social test has been completed, a trial day is mandatory in order to definitively confirm the dog's integration into the daycare. This day allows us to observe, over a longer period, how the dog acclimatizes to its new environment and daycare life.
Passing the social test does not guarantee approval for daycare integration. A dog's behavior can evolve over a full day, which is why this trial day is imperative before booking any service.
Throughout the duration of the trial day, the owner must be reachable at all times and remain at the disposal of the Seconde Patte team in order to be able to come and pick up their dog quickly in the event of incompatibility or if the team believes that continuing the day is not suitable for the dog.
Each trial day is charged at €30 including tax. If the trial day is cut short at the initiative of Seconde Patte, particularly for reasons of incompatibility or the dog's well-being, the day remains due in full.
10. Reservation and priority
Any reservation made via the website pre-books the dog's spot. The reservation is conditional upon successfully passing the social test + trial day, and if the test or trial day is not conclusive, the reservation may be cancelled.
In the event of simultaneous requests, both pre-reservations are confirmed and the clients are notified. The client whose dog passes the social test first receives the definitive benefit of the reservation.
If the test is passed within 21 days prior to the start of the service, neither pre-reservation will be refundable, regardless of the client.
11. Cancellations
Any cancellation must be made in writing, by email or mail, at least 21 days before the start of the service to be processed free of charge, provided that the social test has been completed. If the cancellation occurs less than 21 days before the start of the service, the total cost of the service will be charged. In the event of an emergency or exceptional situation, the owner must contact Seconde Patte by phone at +33(0)615073889. Seconde Patte is not responsible for any costs incurred in the event of a late cancellation. Every booking holds a place subject to the success of the social test and compliance with the cancellation deadlines. The 21-day notice period does not apply in cases of force majeure (illness, accident, death, etc.).
12. Insurance and obligations
The owner certifies that their dog is covered by liability insurance. Seconde Patte declines all responsibility in the event of damage caused by the dog to third parties or other dogs. The owner agrees to reimburse and cover costs in the event of damage, accidents, or injuries caused by their dog during its stay. In the event of an incident or health problem requiring a visit to the veterinarian, the veterinary fees as well as the transport costs to take the dog there will be borne entirely by the owner.
13. Dog cleanliness
Dogs accepted must be house-trained, meaning they must not relieve themselves on Second Patte’s premises. Puppies or dogs that are not yet fully house-trained are accepted subject to prior agreement. In such cases, a supplement of 5 euros incl. tax/day for lack of cleanliness will be charged to cover the time and costs associated with additional cleaning. The boarding kennel reserves the right to apply this supplement to any dog whose cleanliness needs require special attention during their stay.
14. Estrus management in females
Any female showing signs of heat, or for which there is a strong suspicion, will be immediately isolated to avoid any risk with the other dogs. Upon booking, the owner must provide the primary contact number as well as an emergency contact available for the entire duration of the boarding stay, capable of picking up the dog at any time. Upon discovery or suspicion of heat, the owner or emergency contact must collect the female as soon as possible. If the dog cannot be picked up immediately, a supplement of €15 per day will be charged to cover the care, monitoring, and specific arrangements required for isolation. The owner acknowledges that managing a female in heat involves additional constraints and agrees to cover all costs related to the isolation and special care.
15. Emergency contact
When booking a service, the owner must provide an emergency contact reachable for the entire duration of the service. This contact may be called in an emergency if the owner is unavailable. In the event of a situation requiring the contact's intervention, such as a sick dog, a female in heat, or an incident, the owner remains responsible for handling the situation and making decisions, and must ensure that the contact person can come and collect the dog if necessary. In the event of an emergency where the owner cannot be reached, Seconde Patte will take all measures deemed necessary to resolve the event by relying on the competent authorities or appropriate professionals (fire department, police, veterinarians, etc.). If such a situation or a similar one were to arise and in the event that the owner and the emergency contact could not be reached within 5 minutes, the owner agrees to leave the decisions to Seconde Patte and undertakes to reimburse all costs incurred by the company to deal with or attempt to deal with the event.
16. Late pickup or failure to collect the dog at the end of the service
Owners must collect their dog at the end of the initial contract. For every hour or part thereof past 7:00 PM, an hourly rate of 3 euros per hour will be applied. After 72 hours from the end of the initial contract, if the owner has not come forward, the dog will be considered abandoned and handed over to the competent authorities (SPA, shelter, pound, etc.).
Special cases: exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
