Description:This pulling harness is the evolution of the previous X-back harness model. Since 2010, the Nansen Nome Harness has been used by teams that have won international medals in sprint, middle and long-distance races.

Over the years, an extensive development process has been implemented to optimize the fit and materials. Product developers and athletes have worked side by side to evolve the harness to meet the demands of the most extreme situations. The Nansen Nome Harness 5.0 has therefore undergone extensive field testing. Mushers have used it over a cumulative distance equivalent to 16 times around the world! It is also the harness used by Thomas Wærner during his victory at the 2020 Iditarod.

The pulling harness is designed to allow the dog to perform at its best without restricting its movement or breathing. Its Y-shaped front and flat chest section allow the power exerted by the dog to be effectively distributed. A straight section over the neck offers optimal freedom of movement in the shoulders.

For dogs that tend to pull to one side, the harness also helps reduce tension: the back strap moves at the attachment point, allowing the harness to remain properly positioned on the dog. A reflective flap at the neck also makes it easier to observe any irregularities in the dog's movement, especially during night outings.

The Nansen Nome Harness 5.0 is available in half-sizes. These have the same back length as the smaller size, but with a larger neck circumference. The half-sizes have a red tip, while the standard sizes have a blue tip. The length of the back strap varies from size to size, allowing the total length of the harness to remain consistent. The harness is available from 5 to 9.5.

The dog's well-being is at the heart of this model's design. Special attention has been paid to design and ergonomics to offer maximum comfort and freedom of movement.

The inner lining is designed so that the different materials overlap without creating hard edges that could irritate the skin. The harness is made of strong, tightly woven nylon with closed-cell foam padding that limits water absorption while optimizing the dog's comfort.

The seams are also designed with a smooth side facing the body to limit chafing and irritation. Finally, the harness incorporates 3M reflective materials to improve the dog's visibility and safety.

This anatomical design aims to offer great freedom of movement, optimal breathing, and comfort adapted to dogs that pull.
